Coir is a classic doormat that gives any entrance a natural, traditional look. It is a sustainable choice made from natural coconut husk fibres.
Why Choose Green Premium Coir Roll Matting?
- Superior Dirt and Moisture Trapping: Coir roll matting is very good at removing dirt and moisture at the door. The mat surface aggressively scrapes footwear and soaks up water to stop it from tracking further into the building.
- Natural and Earthy Appeal: The rich green colour complements a variety of design styles, particularly those that embrace natural elements. It creates a welcoming and inviting first impression for guests.
- Durable and Long-lasting: Unlike most coir matting available, our Premium Coir Roll Matting is designed to withstand heavy foot traffic. The dense, twisted pile helps the surface ‘spring back’ which means it resists crushing down through use, to help it remain effective at scraping dirt for the lifetime of the mat. The robust construction ensures years of reliable performance, offering exceptional value for money.
- Sustainable Choice: Coir is a natural and biodegradable material, making it a more eco-friendly matting option for your home.
Customisable Solutions to Fit Your Needs
Every entrance is unique. That’s why our coir matting is available in a variety of customisable options:
- Made-to-Measure Lengths: We offer custom cuts in 10cm increments from 1m and 2m wide rolls, ensuring a perfect fit for your doorway.
- Easy Cutting: The matting is designed to be simple to further trim using a sharp utility knife and steel ruler on the reverse side. This allows for effortless on-site adjustments for a truly bespoke doormat solution.
- Coloured to Last: This mat is dyed green right down to the base of the fibres, so the colour will not wear off through usage.

We’re here to help, simply Contact Us.
NB: This is a Custom-Made Mat: The sizes displayed are cut to your length requirement off rolls either 1m or 2m wide. Please ensure accurate measurements. Returns for custom items are limited to manufacturing defects or errors on our part. Returns for correctly supplied mats are considered at our discretion and will incur a customisation fee. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. See our Refund and Returns Policy for more detailed information.

Important care & product considerations for Green coloured coir mats
Coir is a natural fibre product and has different characteristics to synthetic matting. Understanding these will help you get the best performance and lifespan from your mat.
- Initial Shedding: When you first receive your coir mat, you may notice some loose fibre shedding. This is completely normal for a natural product and will reduce quickly with use. Regular brushing with a stiff broom or light vacuuming will help remove excess fibres.
- Moisture Management: Coir fibres are excellent at scraping dirt and absorbing moisture. However, mats should not be left saturated in isolated patches (for example, under wet shoes or umbrellas), as this may cause localised staining. Where possible, allow mats to dry evenly and position them in well-ventilated, sheltered areas.
- Colour & Outdoor Use (Dyed Coir): Coloured coir matting is made using surface-dyed natural fibres and is intended primarily for indoor or covered external use. Please note:
- Dyed colours are not UV-resistant and will fade over time if exposed to direct sunlight
- Some initial colour transfer or run-off may occur if the mat becomes heavily wet, particularly in the early stages of use
- Coloured coir is not suitable for fully exposed outdoor areas
- Natural Weathering: As a plant-based material, coir will naturally change in appearance over time when exposed to wear, moisture, and sunlight. This includes fibre softening, colour variation, and gradual weathering, which are considered normal characteristics rather than product faults.
For installations in fully exposed outdoor environments, we recommend choosing natural (undyed) coir or Synthetic Coir, which provides better resistance to weathering and maintains a more consistent appearance over time.

Cleaning Instructions
Regular cleaning:
- Vacuum cleaner with roller brush
- Sweep with stiff brush
Deep cleaning:
- Spot-clean your coir mat with a mild soap and water solution. Be sure not to soak the mat though; lightly dampen it instead.
What should you avoid doing when cleaning coir matting?
When maintaining your coir mats, there are certain things you should avoid to prevent damage.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents when cleaning coir mats. These substances can harm the natural fibres of the coir, reducing its durability and lifespan.
- Avoid soaking or saturating any part of the mats with liquid as this can also damage the fibres and warp the mat as well as making them susceptible to mould and mildew growth.
