Unicolour Mats are heavy-duty entrance mats printed in a single colour of your choice, made to measure in any size up to 2.4m × 6m. A heavy twisted nylon pile draws dirt and moisture down to the base of the mat, away from the walking surface, and a nitrile rubber backing keeps it flat and in place. Choose from a wide range of colours, with or without a rubber border, and with smooth or claw backing to suit your floor. The result is an entrance that stays cleaner and safer, in a colour that matches your décor.

The twisted pile naturally “bounces back”, so it resists flattening and the crushed, worn look that develops on lower-quality mats. The stain-resistant fibres are simple to look after: vacuum, spot-clean or machine-wash. The nitrile rubber backing won’t split, crack, curl or degrade, even in high-traffic areas, and low-profile edges help minimise trip hazards. How to Order Unicolour Mats in a Custom Size

1. Select Custom Size from the size dropdown.
2. Choose your colour, backing and border options.
3. Enter your required dimensions. The price updates automatically.

There are minimum and maximum custom sizes, and larger sizes cost less per m², as shown in the Measurement Price Bands. The maximum width depends on your backing and border choice, for custom sizes up to 6m long:

Please note: the custom size you enter is the size the mat will be made to, including the borders. Due to natural shrinkage in the manufacturing process, there may be a +/- 2% size variation on made-to-measure mats. If you’re ordering a mat without borders to fit a specific area, mat well or recess, we highly recommend oversizing and trimming the mat down to your required size when fitting.

Made-to-measure mats are produced to your measurements, so please check them carefully before ordering. They are excluded from our 365-day change-of-mind returns offer. Choosing Your Colour of Unicolour Mat

The colour images shown when you select your options are photographs of actual material samples, so you can see a close-up of your colour on screen. Unicolour Mats are printed in one selected colour. From normal viewing distance they appear uniformly coloured, although subtle flecks and variations in the surface may be visible close up.

Photographs and colour charts on a screen can’t reliably show the finished colour, and its appearance also varies with lighting, viewing angle and pile direction. If colour is important, free swatches are available and we recommend them before ordering. Simply request your preferred colour codes and provide your delivery address. We produce your mat in the colour reference selected with your order, and a separate digital proof isn’t supplied.

Border or No Border? Choose What Works for You

Option 1: With Rubber Border (Recommended for Most Spaces)

• Finished, professional appearance
• Hides any colour contrast between fibres and rubber backing
• Best for mats sitting freely on open floors
• Squares up the mat, giving it a clean, framed look
• Minimises the visibility of size tolerances

Option 2: Without Border (For Recesses & Wall-to-Wall Installs)

Borderless mats are cut to size, for mat wells and recesses, wall-to-wall installations, and anywhere the cut edge won’t be visible. Please read before choosing “No Border”:

• The cut edge is visible — you’ll see the raw machine-cut line, with the black rubber base showing beneath the coloured fibres
• Some loose fibres may appear — brush or vacuum them away; the edge won’t fray further
• Light colours show more contrast — colours such as orange, cream, yellow, mint and light grey may show the black backing more clearly along the cut line

If the edges will be visible, we recommend the bordered version, especially for lighter coloured mats.

Smooth Backing — For Hard Floors & Mat Wells

• Suits: tiles, wood and laminate, concrete, and mat wells or recessed areas
• How it works: the smooth nitrile backing lies flat against hard surfaces for natural grip, and it’s the recommended choice for recesses where the sides hold the mat in place

Important: smooth backing is intended for suitable hard floors and mat wells. For LVT or vinyl flooring, please choose from our LVT and Vinyl Safe Mats range, unless your flooring manufacturer confirms this rubber-backed mat is suitable.

Claw Backing — For Carpeted Floors

• Suits: low-pile and medium-pile carpets
• How it works: small rubber “claw” ridges grip into the carpet fibres to reduce movement and help prevent the mat creeping as it’s walked over
