MuckStopper Eco Mat

The MuckStopper Eco is a washable, high-absorbency entrance mat that traps mud, moisture and fine dust at the door, suitable for busy homes. Its face is an 80% microfibre polyester and 20% cotton blend, and its flecked colours hide dirt until wash day. The TPE backing lies flat, grips the floor, and is safe on LVT, Amtico and Karndean. The result is cleaner floors, fewer muddy footprints and a mat that you can simply pop in the washing machine.

Unlike standard mats that slide or deteriorate, the professional-grade TPE backing won’t curl at the edges, crack or crease like traditional vinyl. The non-slip, dimpled reverse holds the mat firmly in place on hard floors and carpet, and lets air circulate to keep your sub-floor fresh. The mat is 100% impermeable, so spills can’t reach your floor, and the neat 2cm border gives it a refined finish. Safe for LVT, Amtico, Karndean & Other Vinyl Flooring

Rubber and latex-backed mats can be a poor match for luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and other vinyl floor coverings. Flooring manufacturers warn against them in their guidelines because they risk leaving discoloured patches that are difficult or impossible to remove. This is a particular risk with LVT, Amtico and Karndean floors.

The MuckStopper Eco has a TPE backing, so it avoids the permanent chemical yellowing, or “rubber burn”, associated with traditional rubber and latex mats. That makes it a safe choice for use directly on LVT, Amtico, Karndean and other vinyl floor coverings.

The mat is suitable for LVT flooring when used in accordance with the mat care instructions and your flooring manufacturer’s guidance. Regularly lift the mat and keep the floor beneath clean and dry. LVT suitability does not prevent discolouration caused by trapped moisture, cleaning residues or other floor conditions.
