A “bi-level” construction wipes and scrapes footwear and wheeled traffic to remove dirt and water, then collects and stores it in the lower level of the mat, holding up to 5.4 litres of water per m² to cope with the wettest, muddiest conditions. Q: Will the Aqua Barrier Heavy Duty Entrance Mat stay in place on carpet?
The anti-slip rubber backing works well on most hard floors and carpets. Some deep-pile or particularly thick carpets can be more of a challenge for any mat to grip,  if this happens, our Teebaud Premium Mat Underlay solves the problem and is available to buy on this site.

Q: How much water can the Aqua Barrier mat hold?
The mat’s borders form a barrier around its edge, holding up to 5.4 litres of water per m², enough to cope with heavy rain, mud and even snow being tracked in from outside.

Q: Can the Aqua Barrier Heavy Duty Entrance Mat be used outdoors, in exposed weather?
The Aqua Barrier mat is designed for indoor or covered entrance areas. In prolonged, heavy rain in fully exposed locations it can hold water in the lower level and may need lifting occasionally to clear. For fully open-air, all-weather locations, our Rubber Ramp Mat may be a better fit.

Q: How do I clean it?
Dirt collects in wide grooves and is easy to remove by vacuuming or brushing; the base channels allow any collected water to evaporate quickly. The mat can also be hosed down for a deeper clean.

    My primary reason for purchasing this mat was for laying on top of a carpet as many mats shift and move. Unfortunately this also moves and does not stay put. The mat is great quality and good in every other way, but it moves on carpet.
